Celebrating Ibu Kartini Day.

Nasi Tumpeng/yellow rice competition

 Traditional games we played.

We celebrated Ibu Kartini day at school. Ibu Kartini was the hero of Indonesian woman who let girls go to school.  She made a school for girls because at that time only boys who could go to school. Amanda.

Me, Justin and Gaby were telling about famous woman around the world. I felt a bit nervous because people were watching me. Some women share their story about their work at Cifor. They talked about trees, animals and human. Yuki

On Ibu Kartini day we had lots of fun activities and a nice assembly. However my favorite part was building the Nasi Tumpeng/yellow rice, decorating it and eating it. And the judge tested our rice and they liked it. Alaka

Swimming

We were practicing for swimming carnival. We felt excited and tired at the same time. I hope that Bali my house team will win tomorrow. Tama

This is a photo of me speaking in the assembly. I did a dance and I also did a performance from music Gamelan. We did really well. (Yoni).

It was awesome when we did the Gamelan for our assembly last Friday. I was confident because I played really well. (Justin)
I played the Gamelan a bit nervously but at the end I was really well. And the audience looked happy and we had big applause. (Maxi)

We were about to swim under water with one breath.  And when we came out of the pool we were rapidly breathing. (Alaka)
